It’s is not just because of Valentine’s Day, the American Heart Association ask women all over to wear red make people aware of the seriousness of this disease. The program is called Go Red for Women.
The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type in the United States is coronary artery disease, which can cause heart attack, angina, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
Since this is one of the leading causes of death in America Discount Drug Network wants to help you learn what the symptoms to look out for and how to prevent you from getting heart disease. The symptoms of a heart attack are as follow: Pain or discomfort in the jaw, neck or, back; feeling weak, light headed or faint: chest pain or discomfort; having pain in the arms and shoulders; and last but not lest shortness of breath. If you are feeling three or more of these symptoms, please do not hesitate to go to the hospital. Most women do not even know they are having a heart attack because they think it is indigestion.
Preventing heart disease is not difficult at all! These are activities that we as Americans should already be doing. Eating healthy and exercising are no brainers. One should eat foods that consist of low saturated fats and cholesterol and high in fibers. These types of food prevent high blood pressure and cholesterol which are two of the main components in heart disease.
Now following the two activities listed maintaining a healthy weight shouldn’t be an issue, but that is easier said than done. To see if you are at a healthy body weight one should check their BMI. (Body Mass Index). This is an equation that compares you weight with you height. This number will tell a person if they have too much unwanted fat in their body. Clearly smoking is not good for you heart. All of the tar and nicotine in a cigarette can clog up the arteries leading one to have a heart attack. Also limit the use of alcohol. Alcohol can cause high blood pressure which mentioned earlier is one of the elements to having a heart attack.
If you have other medical problems, please follow the instructions from your doctor on how to keep yourself healthy so one does not have a heart condition. As always the Discount Drug Network is here to help our customers. If you have to take medications to prevent you from having a heart attack simply just present this card and start saving.
